Ursprünglich sollte das Stück “Folge Mir” des Synthiepop/EBM-Projektes PitchBlack Inc. als Single im klassischen Sinne mit zwei oder drei Remixen veröffentlicht werden, um die Wartezeit bis zum in Arbeit befindlichen Album zu überbrücken.
Daher wurden diverse Musiker gebeten, diese Arbeit zu modellieren und ihnen dabei vollkommen freie Hand gelassen. Doch schon bei den ersten vorliegenden Produktionen interessierter Künstler – u.a. nahmen sich Musiker wie AD:Key [Armageddon Dildos], Kenji Siratori [japanischer Cyberpunkautor und -musiker] oder Reb [Ex- The Bates] des Stückes an – war absehbar, das es sich nicht nur um Remixmaterial im eigentlichen Sinne, sondern auch um eigenständige Versionen handelte.
