He played big shows in Wacken and Leipzig. He was on a big German tour with HIM. He was a major issue in the music magazines. He was leading one ot the best gothic metal bands from one success to the next. Now former THORA frontman TOMMY TOM amazes us with the fastest and best debut feature of the year. Only five months after THORA’s breakup he is entering as GODEX the “Gates of the Universe”.
This is also the name of his first solo album, which combines hard riffs, a very special acoustic atmosphere and some artificial soundscapes in an aesthetic way and so promotes his genre a bit more. “Gates of the Universe” are both very big rock ballads and powerful and dynamic gothic rock sounds – and all are irresistable catchy songs.
TOMMY has created and produced GODEX completely alone.
The man absolutely does not need a band at all! This man is a band! We are definitively sure that all former THORA fans will love the sound of GODEX – and this sound also will be loved by many others – from Indie girl to the hard rocker. The album will be released on October 26 on afmusic.
