Melancholic and fragile pop songs which can explode already at the next moment with all their strength, carrying Trip-Hop as well as World Music influence in themselves, enriched by classical arrangements and jazz-influenced experiments… a categorisation of Botany Bay is none too easy

However, maybe a categorisation is also not so important at all – importantly it is for Stephan Kleinert (instruments, voc) and Laura Dietrich (voc, key) before all things, to produce emotional and atmospheric music which moves the listener. And they should manage this with this album.
